Sri Lanka is among the 34 biodiversity hotspots in the world and is domicile to some magnificent rain forests and jungles and a popular destination amongst bird watching enthusiasts. One can trek through the forest to see birds such as Jungle Fowl, Spot Wing Thrush, Skaly Thrush, Malabar Trogon, Capped Babbler or the endemics such as Layard’s Parakeet, Hanging Parakeet, Yellow Fronted Barbet, White Face Starling and Sri Lankan Mynah.
